How the Money Part Works
Rates
My private practice charges $175 for a 50-minute session for an Individual and $200 for a 50-minute session for couples or families. I am able to offer a sliding scale fee for those who need it so please do not hesitate to reach out if the finances are a concern for you. We can talk about your needs and see if we are able to make therapy with me work for you in a way that feels financially manageable and doesn't add stress. I am also really happy to be a resource to try and connect you with other services if that feels like a better option for you as well. Please don't hesitate to reach out about this.
Insurance
I am not paneled with any insurance companies which means I am considered “out of pocket”. I can provide you with a superbill for you to pursue reimbursement from your insurance provider- I am happy to discuss how this typically works but also encourage you to connect directly with your insurance provider to ask about your specific policy.
Payment
I accept all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to ask for and receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your therapy will cost, ahead of any scheduled services and also upon request. Since the length of therapy is usually variable, my estimate will show my per-session costs as well as the maximum amount you would have paid if your therapy goes for a full year.
The estimated costs are valid for 12 months from the date of the Good Faith Estimate, subject to any provisions for fee adjustments, in which case a new Fee Agreement consent form will be sent to you. This Good Faith Estimate will include service codes (my standard is for 50-minute sessions), and any diagnostic codes that may have been determined.
